What does dB 0 mean?

drumiBus products are classified into four categories:

  • dB 0 for beginners
  • dB I for beginner/intermediate
  • dB II for intermediate/advanced
  • dB III for advanced

What is the difference between "explanations", "practical", "audio" and "play along" products?

Four product types are available:

  • EXPLANATIONS is a set of videos of 3 to 5 minutes each in which the different pages of the book DRUMS... for all are presented and explained
  • PRACTICE, as its name says, is for practice! These are videos in which the exercises from the book are played. No blah blah blah, 1 2 3 4 and we start!
  • AUDIO is a bit like PRACTICE, but these are mp3s that you can download and put in your phone (or other device) to accompany you during your practices
  • "PLAY ALONG" is a little bonus! Thanks to the guitarist, composer and teacher Étienne Guay, these are short pieces with scores to have fun with your instrument!

What to begin with?

The exercises contained in the dB 0 level (free with the purchase of the book in hard copy) are a great place to start. First, the RUDIMENTS on page 8, then some ROCK beats on page 24. Next, READINGS 1 through 3 (pages 45-47) and LINEAR 1 (page 57). Continue with ACCENTS (p.16), HI-HAT VARIATIONS (p.28-29) and once you feel up to it, keep going through the rest... You can always write me back if you have more questions! 😉
